The Official Mirage™

The Can-Am series from the 1960s & 1970s bred some of racings most iconic cars. Virtually unregulated designs featuring massive V8 engines, lightweight chassis, and advanced aerodynamics, pushing the boundaries of what race cars could do. Amid this era of extreme innovation, the Manta Mirage™ emerged in the early 1970s as the first kit car to bring the brutal aesthetics of Can-Am racers to the street. Retroformance has resurrected the Manta Mirage™and combined it with their in-house aluminum chassis, offering enthusiasts a way to own and drive a street-legal machine with the look and feel of a real Can-Am contender.

The original Manta Mirage™ had all of the ingredients of a perfect Can-Am look-alike. The curved pronounced fenders, short tail, and side scoops took direct inspiration from the McLaren M8.

THE PROTOTYPE

It always takes one: The first car built on our M6GT® platform, the Mirage™. Modified with a little Retroformance™ flair, this open-top can-am tribute is the test mule for everything we do. From cabin layout to suspension geometry, it gets developed and tried out, in the real-world.

The wait is almost over…
